CURATOR PLAYLIST 002: SHARKKANA PRYCE

The second in our series of Curator Playlists comes from London-based stylist Sharkkana Pryce.  She’s worked with the likes of GEO, Rasharn Powell, THRDS and Heartbreak Candy Club.  All in all, we think she’s definitely one to watch, so we asked her what’s on her stereo at the minute. BISHOP NEHRU – HARMONY IN A GLASS

Other than the occasional remix, we haven’t heard much from Bishop Nehru since ‘NehruvianDOOM‘, his collaborative LP with DOOM.  Hopefully that’s set to change, as he releases new track ‘Harmony In A Glass’.  Self-produced, the track sees Nehru dole out his buttery, youthful flow over a laid-back, 90s-inspired instrumental.  Stream below via SoundCloud.

Brothers Louie P and Kaytranada released their debut album as The Celestics, ‘Supreme Laziness‘, back in May.  Now, they release a brand new set of visuals for album track ‘Charles Barkley’, which sees the sibling duo school us in the ways of basketball, a sport which dominates Louie P’s punchlines.  Stream below via YouTube.

D.A.P. – KING

London/Lagos resident D.A.P. releases the first track from his upcoming ‘Goodbye For Never’ EP, entitled ‘King’.  Intrumentally, there is plenty going on in this busy, self-produced track, and D.A.P. also exhibits serious dexterity on the mic, all of which is linked nicely by a catchy chorus.  Stream below via SoundCloud.
