DC teams up with Knucks for ‘Bobby & Rowdy,’ a new track off his upcoming project ‘In the Loop.’ A fitting collaboration, here we have two perfectionists effortlessly narrating over rhythms, delivering metaphors with vulnerability and a hint of cockiness as they go. The track’s title is a reference to the Bobby Shmurda and GS9 case, in which Shmurda took a higher sentence in order to reduce that of his friend, Rowdy Rebel. “Me and my brother like Bobby and Rowdy,” raps Knucks. “I do excess time for my slime cuz I know he ain’t grinding without me.”
Based on classic French film ‘La Haine’ (The Hate), the music video echoes this strong sense of brotherhood; the overriding message being that you can get through adversity with your brothers around you. Stream below via YouTube.
