Teased by Grande on Instagram this week as two mysterious female cartoon figures with nothing but a question mark in place of their faces, fans were spurred into an excited frenzy speculating who the collaborators would be, and we are living for the reveal. After all, what better-suited female duo than body-positive Doja and ‘WAP’ sensation Meg to enlist for a song all about unapologetic sexual desire?
Both females imbue the light and bouncy beat with their own distinctive flair, delivering saucy bars that raise the already explicit track to new erotic heights. In true Hot Girl fashion, Meg shamelessly raps: “Dive in the water like a private island / 34, 35 we can 69 it,” whilst Doja lets her trademark humour shine through as she takes a comical dig at Tekashi69 (6IX9INE): “I want that 69 without Tekashi” – the iconic line already taking Twitter by storm.
