Almost 6 years after their beef went viral, Bugzy Malone and Chip bury the hatchet, forming an alliance on their new track ‘Notorious,’ The pair, from Manchester and Tottenham respectively, publicly ended their beef in December 2017 with a photo posted together on Instagram captioned “Cash Motto GAME CHANGED,” which had fans going crazy.
Chip raps “So me and B ain’t ever going out like Pac and Biggie,” referencing Rap legends 2Pac and Biggie’s infamous 90s beef as well as the songs title. The track also comes after Bugzy’s quad bike accident in March 2020, where he stated that he is “lucky to be alive” and opened up to his near-death experience on ‘Don’t Cry.’ Thankfully, disparately to Pac and Biggie, Bugzy and Chip were able to come together and squash their beef before tragedy struck. The video also pays homage to the late great, Notorious B.I.G. by highlighting playful elements from some of his classic videos, with the track itself sampling Turbulence’s reggae anthem ‘Notorious.’
‘Notorious’ is set to appear on Bugzy’s new album ‘The Resurrection,’ which is set to drop February 12th. Stream below via YouTube.
