Action Bronson isn’t done with 2020 just yet. Following the release of his eagerly anticipated album, ‘Only For Dolphins,’ Bronson keeps the ball rolling with his new video for ‘Mongolia’. Featuring Hologram and Mayhem Lauren, the trio are caught up in a heist. It has a cinematic feel, but it’s ultimately a budget production.
For a song that explores Russian funk and other worldly sounds, it feels at odds that the video is grounded in Brooklyn. Production during a pandemic is also easier said than done – a cap on creativity for an artist who does things differently – but that being said, the bar has been raised and this time director Zev Deans just doesn’t quite reach it.
