ACTION BRONSON – GOLDEN EYE

Never question Action Bronson’s methods – just go with it. His most recent release, ‘Golden Eye’, takes on the lead role on his forthcoming album, ‘Only For Dolphins.’ The track is typical of the New York cult hero: by saying so much, he says so little. Bronson sounds pissed off; “Fuck around and get your sea bass smothered / I choke you the fuck out like I’m a Diaz brother.” But this is just his lyricism rolling free; a reference to two of his passions – food and MMA. Alongside the Cuban-sounding beat of ‘Latin Grammys’ – released back in July – the clear reggae influence used here suggests we are in for an eclectic ride when the album drops on September 25th.

If this track, and the superb album reveal [potentially narrated by Tom Hardy!?] are anything to go by, expect big things. It’s Bronson’s imagination in full swing; his creativity on a mission. Just don’t waste your time trying to ‘get it’ – it’s off limits to most of us. Stream below via Youtube.
