South London rapper Jelani Blackman drops hard-hitting new EP ‘Average Joe’ via his own imprint, 18RECORDS.

“The energy on this EP is crazy it makes me want to run through fire,” he says. “The journey to this point has been mad but one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my life. I learned so much about myself and how to take control of your shit and own who you are. I’m not an average Joe and I hope anyone who hears this will never let the world break them down to feel average or normal or incapable of doing something. Keep pushing hard for whatever it is you want to do.”

The five-track release brings together previous singles ‘Cheers‘, ‘Brixton‘ and ‘Nobody’s Son’, as well as two new tracks; the titular ‘Average Joe’ and a new freestyle.  It’s hard-hitting and concise; Blackman lets his emotive lyrics and deep, baritone flow do all the talking.  Stream below via SoundCloud.
