Slowthai’s latest offering is produced by Mura Masa, but you’d hardly have guessed it. The scuzzy, lo-fi drive of ‘Doorman’ sounds more like Joy Division mixed with Young Fathers. It’s as raw and as visceral as any Punk track you’re likely to hear, tied together by Slowthai’s brilliantly unhinged delivery. ‘Doorman’ just goes to show the creative depth of the Northampton MC, who’s clearly only just getting started.
