Kanye West dropped a brand new track on Friday, and as usual there’s a whole lot to unpack. Before we get to the track itself, let’s give it some context. ‘I Love It’ made it’s debut at the first annual [and seemingly disastrous] Pornhub Awards, at which West was co-Creative Director. The new job, we can only assume, comes after Kanye’s comments about the site on Jimmy Kimmel Live, after which Pornhub gave him a lifetime premium membership to show their appreciation for his support.
On to the track. We open with an excerpt from Adele Givens’ Def Jam Comedy appearance, in which she celebrates women’s shifting perception of their own sexuality. The stage is then set for a hook by Lil Pump, who’s currently in jail having violated his probation. “You’re such a fuckin’ hoe, I love it ,” goes the insultingly simple, arrestingly blunt refrain. His verse follows, the less said about which the better. Kanye’s is at least a touch more entertaining.

Nice right? And then there’s the video, which sees West & Pump snigger like schoolchildren behind Givens’ back while dressed in bizarre, over-sized outfits reminiscent of Roblox. The more eagle-eyed among you may also notice that Ye is wearing over-sized versions of the sliders he was berated for wearing to 2Chainz’ wedding. We’re stumped.
