Manchester-born electronic producer Model 86 has announced the release of a new EP entitled ‘I Was Depressed And Anxious For Most Of My 20s Until I Came Off My Tablets’, which will be released as a trilogy this coming April 27.  The first taste of the new project is ‘Famous’, which represents quite a departure from Model 86′ signature sound; working with Rayon Nelson, who laces the bass heavy beat with a soft, dreamy vocal.

“Collaborating with people, musicians and filmmakers, is what gets me out of bed in the morning”, says the producer [real name Matthew Wilcock]. “When you work with special talents, you want to match them and show them what you can do – they push you out of your comfort zone.”  The collaboration has certainly lent his sound a more mainstream edge, but his disjointed, energetic beat still has plenty of that trademark singularity!
