Kendrick Lamar enlists the help of acting legend Don Cheadle in the new video for ‘DNA.’ The second visual to be taken from recent album ‘DAMN.‘ is every bit as compelling as the first [‘HUMBLE.‘] as Cheadle interrogates Lamar, before succumbing to his spell and going toe-to-toe with the Compton MC for the remainder of the track’s first verse. The Nabil-directed video incorporates many elements you might recognise from K-Dot’s Coachella performance last weekend; with even his outfit mirroring that of his ‘Kung Fu Kenny’ persona across both performances. For those [us included] that criticised ‘DAMN.’ for lacking the visual depth of its predecessors ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ and ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City’, it appears the story is only just beginning to unravel.
