Ever since debut EP ‘A Little Late‘, South London’s Loyle Carner has always had a knack for intimately heartfelt story-telling. Nearly three years and a major label record deal later and, thankfully, it seems as though nothing has changed. ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ is every bit as endearing as singles ‘No CD‘, ‘The Isle of Arran‘ and ‘Damselfly‘ suggested. A touching end to a brilliantly personal collection, the album closes with a touching sample of his mother’s voice followed by a track recorded by Carner’s dad before he passed away.
