Movements Vol. I saw UK beat label Merci Jitter tasked nine different producers with composing a track based around the word ‘jitter’. A year later, 13 international artists ranging from Lithuania to China are back with the second instalment of the Movements compilation. Grime, Bass, Dancehall, House and Hip Hop all find a place on the twelve track collection. “Through the atmospheres and rhythms included in the tracks from the participating artist, a fusion of some sort has been attempted in each of their tracks ranging from more harmonic blends, to geographic and genre binding experiments” says the label. This thematic is visualised through the artwork which features American ceramic artist Kristin McKirdy’s pieces photographed by french photographer Benoit Grellet.” Stream below via SoundCloud.
