Mont Jake returns after a brief hiatus with new single’Pearly Cloud’. As the track begins, that delicate, devastatingly beautiful vocal will be instantly familiar to fans of most recent EP, ‘Shadow‘. Once ‘Pearly Cloud’s lofty instrumental becomes punctuated with stabbing horns and an unmistakable verse from Assassin [who you’ll remember from Kendrick Lamar’s ‘The Blacker The Berry‘ and ‘Yeezus‘ cut ‘I’m In It’] however, it becomes readily apparent that Mont Jake’s developed his sound considerably. 16 year old unknown Byrn The First also makes an impressive debut, stream below via SoundCloud.
