When we first got familiar with Cashmere Cat, he was making delightfully singular beats but had yet to really break out. New track ‘Wild Love’ sees him collaborate with international megastar The Weeknd which, given that it follows collaborations with DJ Mustard and Ariana Grande seems to signal that he may have begun to crack the mainstream. Completely devoid of percussion, ‘Wild Love’ is a symphony of auto-tuned harmonies, which are cut through by Tesfaye’s crystal clear vocal.
