“I was inspired by the issues some of my friends in the city were finding themselves in,” Azekel says of the inspiration for the follow-up to ‘Raw Vol. 1‘.  “Also I was listening to a lot of similar themes in the music from Curtis Mayfield & Marvin Gaye, and became conscious that this idea of social commentary was a theme that bled through their works too.”  The new EP begins with single ‘Linger‘, a track that perfectly demonstrates the Massive Attack collaborators re-framing of R&B [see also: ‘The War Inside‘].  Stream below via SoundCloud, click here to download ‘Raw Vol. 2’ from iTunes.
