This weekend saw Rinse | Born & Bred 2016 take over North London; a festival co-hosted by Rinse FM and Found Series that felt like the antidote to every pretentious, “boutique” offering. A homage to homegrown London talent, Born & Bred is built on the foundations of Rave culture and puts Hip Hop, Drum ‘n’ Bass, jungle, Garage and Grime centre stage.
Despite a characteristic no-show from Grime legend Wiley [which was to be expected, but disappointing nonetheless], the line-up trod the perfect line between homegrown and all-star with acts like Lady Leshurr, Cadell, P Money and Novelist drawing impressively large crowds.
