Before the release of ‘Nomade’ [May 20] on French label Nowadays Records, Jumo treats us to a new track from the EP. Despite its shrill intro, ‘Désert’ soon opens up into a lush expanse, before descending into almost tribal percussive patterns and shifting again toward uncomfortably orchestral synths. “Every song on the EP is about nomadism, emptiness and movement,“ explains the French producer, whose multidisciplinary background promises great things.
