Following the recently-released ‘Down‘, Barney Artist drops a second track from upcoming album ‘Painting Sounds’. The new single features the unmistakable, shuffling Funk of producer Tom Misch. “It’s always great making music with your mates because it’s never really forced and when me and Tom made ‘Stay Close’ it was proper easy!” says Artist. “Alfa Mist played some smooth keys and Tom took it from there really. The song is basically about being scared to take that huge step and start a relationship because you don’t want it to go wrong… I think most of us can relate to that!
