Boom Bap Festival returns this year, and while summer may feel like a distant prospect, the UK’s biggest Hip Hop festival announces the first artists to grace their 2016 line-up. The United States are represented by R.A the Rugged Man, A-F-R-O and Da$h, but this year it’s all about the UK: “This year, we wanted to bring it all home,” says organiser Ivan Andrade. “It’s such a big deal for us to have legends like Task Force, Phi Life Cypher and Blade grace our stage – we really wanted to celebrate our roots and give something back to the scene that brought us up.” Province favourites 808INK, Cult Mountain and The Purist also make the line-up, and it’s great to see Grime being more than adequately represented by legends D Double E and Logan Sama, and newcomers Elf Kid and Jammz.
