Brainfeeder producer Lapalux actually released his sophomore album ‘Lustmore’ on April 7, but is only now available to stream worldwide. The album is loosely based on a phenomenon called Hypnogogia; a transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. Opening track ‘Puzzle‘ drips with a palpable sexual tension, whilst the catchy ‘Closure‘ is far more mournful. An album as close and enveloping as it is distant is probably best described by the man himself: “Whenever I think about the album I think about the bar scene in ‘The Shining’,” Howard says. “There’s something about that strange, hallucinatory psychological madness that relates to the music, both in the making of the actual record and the way it sounds.” Stream below via Spotify.
