Fans have been aware that Lupe’s fifth studio album ‘Tetsuo & Youth’ was on its way since February 2013, but the much-delayed release finally sees the light of day. The album was inspired in-part by the notorious West Side of Chicago: “The content of it is like, ‘Oh, shit, I didn’t know Lupe could talk like that. I didn’t know Lupe knew that guy. I didn’t know Lupe was affiliated with that.'” That subject matter, mixed with the extended religious metaphor should make for an interesting juxtaposition. Stream below via Spotify.
