It has just been announced [via Fader] that Mac Miller has signed a deal with Warner Bros which will allow him to run his own imprint, REMember Music, as well as release as a solo artist. Along with the announcement comes a new, SAP-produced track, which judging by the comedic tone of his bars has been in Mac’s vault for a minute. Is it just us, or does this outlandishly quirky title coupled with the statement “Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with, it is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label REMember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things” sound a little like someone on the defensive? Stream ‘Just Some Raps, Nothing To See Here, Move Along’ below via SoundCloud.
