To my mind, Grime has never been able to top Dizzee Rascal’s archetypal ‘Boy In Da Corner’. Eleven years later, the album’s continued influence is borne out in Fekky’s re-work of the BIDC classic, ‘Sittin Here’. The track samples that original twanging melody and perfectly brings it up to date, beefing it up with Trap-inspired percussion and plenty more bass. ‘Still Sittin’ Here’ is intensely gratifying in that we get back that piece of Dizzee that we all loved; the one that goes hard over a grimy instrumental in a back-to-basics, black and white visual setting, rather than the one that ponces about next to Robbie Williams or Calvin Harris in Malia.
