London producer Charles The Kid’s ‘FLTOR Vol. 1’ is a demonstration of what he calls ‘Hip-Hop Orchestra Ambient Music’.  No disrespect to the man, but I think he’s selling him short with this description – there is more than enough rhythm on this tape to get toes tapping.  Whether it’s 1920s-inspired ‘The Pick-Up’, or ‘Too Foreign’ (a flip of Foreigner’s ‘I Want To Know What Love Is – the most fun we’ve had in years!), you can’t help but admire Charles The Kid’s sample mastery.  Stream below via SoundCloud.
