Seattle rapper Nacho Picasso has kicked off his 2014 with the release of ‘Trances With Wolves – The Prixtape’, which was released on New Year’s Day. Nacho ladels on references to Gothic horror, a genre which, thematically, the tape adheres to as closely as any of his others. However, it’s Nacho’s dark humour and short-storytelling prowess that make his bars so thoroughly enjoyable this time around. Nacho Picasso continues to occupy his carefully carved niche on this tape, but on tracks like ‘Red Ridinghood’ reaches a standard that is comparable to the best of Lil Wayne on Tha Carters III & IV.
