MAC MILLER – WATCHING MOVIES WITH THE SOUND OFF

As if a release date that coincides with Yeezus wasn’t bad news enough for Miller’s album sales, ‘Watching Movies With The Lights Off’ leaked online today,  This is a real shame, as it is a real masterpiece.  Mac Meezy has clearly stopped messing around and started proving that he’s serious about making excellent music.  The whole album reeks of progression both in terms of it’s lyrical content and it’s production.  The list of samples is also features a selection of those on the front line of Hip Hop’s new school.  Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator and Schoolboy Q all feature, but it’s Ab-Soul that makes the best contribution.  Stream the full album below via Spotify.

UPDATE: Mac releases the visuals to ‘Watching Movies’, and confirms he has definitely been spending too much time with OF: the video hints at his own suicide and features creepy pastors, hoodies with red eyes, and crosses made of televisions.  Click the photo to watch on YouTube.
