When Yeezy gave producer J Period a load of unreleased material from G.O.OD Music, the result was never going to be terrible.  And it’s not, this is a classic-sounding and tasteful hip-hop collection.  Kanye West fans will delight at his previously unheard verses, and contributions from John Legend, Common, and Consequence are all enjoyable.  However, its hard not to feel like G.O.O.D Music are holding out: where are Q-Tip/Kid Cudi/Mos Def/Pusha T?  In the current collaborative climate, this tape just seems a little half-assed – no disrespect to J Period, whose mixing is, as always, flawless.
