The release of ‘It’s Raw’ earlier this month whet our appetites for this collaborative effort, and the album itself is finally here.  As hoped, it is heavy on the samples and nineties’ influence.  With help from DJ Premier, the beats are classic and timeless.  The verses from INS are good, but its the guest bars from Mr. MFN Exquire, Action Bronson, Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna that give this album a real edge.   This release from Wu-Tang legend and underground producers 7L & Esoteric sounds like its come straight out of the nineties but simultaneously feels modern and relevant.  The production is unbelievably good, sampling an outrageous number of films in a possible nod to the Wu-Tang production style of old.  This high standard is more than matched lyrically, verses from Ghostface Killah and Action Bronson are highlights.  Watch the video to ‘Air ‘Em Out’, courtesy of Noisey, below.
