Hackney MC Mikill Pane is witty, stylish and eloquent. Not quite grime, he has been the most unique artist on the UK Hip Hop scene for quite some time. Unfortunately, ‘Good Feeling’ loses some of the integrity that was so vital to earlier offerings. While his tongue-in-cheek lines are what make him who he is, verses about organizing student parties on facebook just have absolutely no place in Hip Hop as we know and love it. The whole thing (including that beat that tries so hard to be infectious) smacks a little of ex-MC turned dance producer Example. If Pane follows the same route it will be a real shame.
